It took her all night, though. I am getting tired of locking her in rooms, even if now the main reason is to keep her from the other cats' food and the other cats from hers. *sigh* Seven more days...
I've had to do that too, and I know how crummy it feels. It's actually easier when they're sick -- you know they need to be kept isolated and quiet and you want them to get well, so you don't feel as bad about keeping them locked away. But once they start getting better they want to be out, and you feel terrible keeping them in a small room alone.
It's kind of like taking antibiotics. When you're sick you eagerly reach for them every four hours, knowing they'll make you better. But once you feel okay you start to resent the need to remember four times a day, and having to make sure you don't leave them at home or at work, and having to stop whatever you're doing and go find some water to take the damn pill. You know it's necessary for your health, but it's annoying to have to go to that much fuss when you're feeling fine!
Seven days seems like a long time when you have to do something you don't like, but looking back on this time a year or five it will seem very short. Think about your last vacation and how fast it went!
Right - the poor thing feels good enough that she wants to be with the humans. That's her whole joy in life: getting attention from or just being near the humans.
