Rob and I are getting a HOT TUB!
Technically, we already have one: the pool that came with the house has a built-in hot tub attached to it. But for various reasons that one is really annoying to use. Its plumbing is buried, meaning we can't get at the obstruction in one of the lines; it needs resurfacing; it has chlorine/bromine in it, so I itch like mad afterwards; and it can't stay heated all the time, so using the hot tub means 2-3 hours' advance planning. That last means we just don't use it much. Plus it has space for MAYBE five people, and that only if they're all standing close enough to have sexual intercourse with each other.
The new one will be heated all the time, has an ionization system that gets rid of the need for chlorine, and looks like it will hold about eight people if they don't mind playing footsie a little. It has lots of little jets to poke at shoulders, backs, and even wrists (for carpal tunnel sufferers). It will arrive in two to three weeks. I can't wait!
Now we just need 220V out to the deck. Luckily the breaker box is nearby.
Rob is thinking of building a gazebo for it... 8-)

Well, y'know, some might see that as a merit, not a flaw :-)

Yay! So, when's the install date?

Ah, but not ALL my parties are THAT kind of party ;-)

It arrives in two to three weeks. If we get an electrician out here soon enough, the arrival date will be the install date, and it'll be functional the next morning. I'm crossing my fingers!
