Took a page from [livejournal.com profile] kateyule's book and cleaned out all the clutter that had accumulated in my car. I even threw some of it away. Also did laundry and scrubbed a cake pan to within an inch of its life.

Turns out I was somewhat productive at work today, too, which is a breath of fresh air. I've been on a project where my main responsibility has been "wait for someone to finish [foo] and then make sure it works on our system". VERY high priority, VERY high pressure ("work weekends"), VERY impossible to speed up (all I do is the waiting part). Awful. So I took some "time off" and fixed a few bugs.

Also an errand earlier today: buy a long phone handset cord for the office. Installed it, too, and boy was THAT ever harder than it needed to be. Stoopid phone design.

I have a few of those, and then there's the Big Honkin' Book covering the Bay Area. I got a new edition of Big Honkin' Book lately and they changed the format so it's too big to fit into those pockets on the doors. (Also too big for a glove compartment. What exactly are they *thinking*?) So it takes up a seat. Oh Well.

I have an edition of that Big Honkin' Book. Fortunately, I only need it when I'm out there. Indy has a book but a) it isn't quite as honkin' big and b) I know most of the streets around here and don't need maps often locally. They do offer that thing on CD-ROM, and, while it takes up less car space, the utility while driving is a bit limited. :-)
