and in some long tangled wiki path, I discovered VASL (http://www.vasl.org/), which runs on the
VASSAL gaming engine. Very Freakin' Cool.
Makes the thought of actually playing ASL not so painful.
There are quite a lot of games available for VASSAL (http://www.vassalengine.org/community/index.php?option=com_vassal_modules&task=displayAll&Itemid=30).
So very kick ass. :)
