I think I need a little more time breaking this thing in. Owie owie owie! I guess that's what I get for wanting this level of solidity all day long. Forces don't just come from nowhere; my body is the anchor point(s); there's no free lunch.

Maybe until I get used to it I should change in the middle of the day.
Boss: "I need to talk to you about the Linux project."
CJ: "Let me change clothes first."

Think that would go over well in a professional environment? :-)

Uhhh ... being highly defensive upon your behalf here ... negotiating for time off to deal with a health issue shouldn't require any negotiation. Elective or not, this surgery will improve your quality of life, and make you a happier and more productive person at work, home, and play. Would they rather you not have the surgery, and begin to suffer from UNplanned time off due to back, shoulder, and neck pain?

Hugs!

Oh, I didn't mean to imply work would be jerks about it. Still, it's totally elective, so it would be considerate of me to talk schedules before committing to a time. And once I start thinking along those paths I start thinking maybe I should schedule the abdomen fix first, because really, that hurts worse, but for the abdomen I could be off for *months*...

I'll be between jobs again some day. If I haven't gotten to it beforehand I'll fix a LOT of crap then. :-)
