Corporate employee greed

The group inhabiting the second floor of our new building just had a big "beer bust" - beer, wine, and pizza were consumed in generous quantities. All of this took place in the shared cafeteria-like area on the first floor.

I could get all jealous that they had a beer bust and we did not. I could whine about how we never seem to have the budget for "fun" stuff anymore. I could feel all self-righteous about working while they partied.

Or I could just go over there and raid the leftovers. cackle cackle cackle

...or you could come work in my office, where beer is in the fridge most days, the patriarch of this dysfunctional family has a well-stocked and frequently raided wine rack in his office, and drinking on the job, or instead of working, is the rule rather than the exception.

I wouldn't mind that wine rack idea, if it were really tasty wine, 'cept I'd probably get stuck in the office in the evening waiting for my BAC to go down. (Do these guys drive home??)

The wine rack is always well-stocked with good wine ... goodboss and his dad both enjoy good wine, and order it by the case. Black Opal seems to be the favorite, and they give a lot of it away to clients.

and of course these guys drive home! they're all idiots!! :-P
