I'm caught up in Quicken. Completely 100% caught up.

A week ago I got a wild notion to enter my pay stubs as they actually are, instead of as a net deposit to checking. That was a bunch of catch-up back from when I started this job. (Why yes, of course I have my pay stubs back that far. Never let it be said I'm not anal-retentive.)

I was also overdue to reconcile cash spending, and man, that's tough. The timespan since the last reconcile was across Christmas. I was doing weird stuff like looking up Office Depot's price on something and then looking up Louisville city and Kentucky state sales tax. Heh.

Now it's as done as it's going to get. Everything agrees with current state and I can move forward from here.

AND the dishes are washed, AND the cat's digestive problems have been cleaned out of the carpet, AND I finished two books, AND I sent off an article to a friend (hi Mary! in your snail mail soon), AND I've pitched some stuff that badly needed pitching.

And I still have some time left in the weekend. Laundry! filing! decluttering! storage reorg! cackle cackle

sounds mad to me, but go ahead, it seems to make you happy! :-)

I sometimes think the phrase "obsessive-compulsive" was invented especially for me. :-)

Yay!

Out of curiosity, did my Big Clean inspire you in any way?

This is something that's been itching inside me for weeks. I *need* to have my finances in order right now. I have noticed, though, that several people on my friends list have been talking about cleaning, getting organized, decluttering, and the like lately. So maybe there was some influence there, in a way I'm not conscious of.

You are a goddess. This will never happen to me. Especially this part:
"I'm caught up in Quicken. Completely 100% caught up." Never. Wow.

I suppose it helps that I don't have my *whole life* in Quicken yet. I have my checking account, cash, and credit cards. Quicken has just now learned about my 401(k) and it is badly confused on that point. It has no idea of any of my previous savings.

But just catching up on checking, cash, and the two cards -- even though I can download most of it -- is still a huge accomplishment for me!

that sounds insanely efficient :)

*chuckle* Well, it was most of a day. :)

I never FEEL like I'm efficient. I want to be, and somehow I never seem to achieve it.

Yay! Gold star for you! Ohhh, I need to catch that productive bug.... You inspire me!

I think this particular bug was a symptom of the "Oh Rats I Only Have Two Days in a Weekend" bug. (With the "Two Weekends In February Are Taken" complication.) Gah!
