I had a lovely evening

Rob describes it succinctly.

Joe and I also completed a small jigsaw puzzle, drank a little almond champagne, and ate some mmmmmJAX. (Cheese curls do TOO go with almond champagne. Shaddup.)

I heard about the almond champagne. Sounds goooood. :)

Rob thinks it's absolutely revolting, which is a good indication -- if you go purely by the numbers -- that I'll love it.

Aw, bummer! (Or should I say "Hey, more for me!"? [grin])

I adore almond-flavored stuff. Marzipan, almond extract baked into cookies, almond meal used as flour... mmmm.

I like almonds slivered and fried and put into savoury dishes :)

Mmm, so do I. Or roasted, sprinkled on top of something like couscous.

I just had a sudden and completely unprecedented (and slightly disturbing, to boot) craving for cheese curls. I blame you. ;)

I share. :-)

I can understand the cheese curls, but almond champagne? Next thing you know, somebody will start marketing hazelnut coffee.

Oh, no kidding. Next they'll be putting nuts in chocolate. What is the world coming to?
