...an Amiga 1000. Not 1000 HD; this is the one WITHOUT the hard drive. I have no CLUE whether the thing will even power up. Does have a monitor. New owner must pick up at my place or at Tuesday night coffee. More details available if anyone has even the remotest whiff of interest.

Speaking of picking stuff up at Tuesday night coffee, [livejournal.com profile] sinboy I don't have your e-mail address but I found some install disks and a monitor, both of which seem to go with the HP 9000 thing I foisted off on you several weeks ago. Lemme know if you want 'em.

Also free to good home, even if only to cannibalize for parts: old "Roulandt" recumbent bike. No longer manufactured. Has some kind of bike computer, tire pump, headlight, lots of dust, all included for the low price of free.

Also free: a big box about the size of something Xerox paper would come in, all full of CD jewel cases. Anyone with a use for these, c'mon down!

For sale (ask for details and prices and I'll find out):
HealthRider, excellent condition
self-standing "TKO" punching bag (base gets filled with water or sand or something) with a little computer thingy on it that looks like maybe it records the strength of your blows, or something
two window-mount air conditioners, functional last time they were plugged in (just before this house purchase - 1999), may not even need new filters yet

What is a HealthRider? And...someone on my friends list was looking for a recumbent bike, but darn it, I can't recall who....gotta look in old entries. Maybe they are on your list too? Hope so. =) If I can't track them down, if it's a working bike I might consider it.

Re the HP 9000: Yes, [livejournal.com profile] sinboy said he'd take the stuff...arrangements yet to be made. Thanks! =)

A HealthRider is one of those home exercise machine thingies for people who are starting to get fit. You sit on the seat, put your feet on pegs and your hands on handlebars, and use your arms and legs together to raise your seat. When you raise the seat, your legs and hips straighten out. Up, down, up, down... someone using it looks like someone practicing to have sex. :-)

Confusingly enough, HealthRider went on to make treadmills and stationary bicycles, so the name "HealthRider" doesn't strictly describe only this object.

This link has a description meant to sell the thing.

Thanks for asking [livejournal.com profile] sinboy! I am sure we can work something out.

Whatsammater? Pistol range closed this week? ;)

I haven't been to the pistol range in aaaages. I'm such a laggard. Now the outdoor rifle range... mmm, need to go there. They'll let me shoot the Colt Sporter without the .22 conversion schtuff!

Pssst -- you can always email a LJ user even if you don't know their personal email address, by sending to LJ-USER-NAME@livejournal.com . I just recently used it on [livejournal.com profile] sinboy myself!

Wow, an Amiga..Brings back memories of the 1980's seeing the debut of one of the Amigas at the Boston Computer Society meeting and being so impressed!

Can't give it a good home. We've got a Atari 2600 here from a garage sale we keep meaning to eBay but haven't gotten to.

I'd be curious to know if you could get much for it. Lots of old computer equipment seems to go for practically nothing on eBay.

We paid at most 5.00 for it. We recently saw a segment on Antiques Roadshow which said the 2600's are collector items now. Some very rare cartridges are worth around $100.00 as I remember.
