They told me they were "reviewing my return", I called for details and sent them a letter -- and just as promised, nearly sixty days later, they replied.
Rob phoned me at work to ask whether I wanted the letter opened and read to me.
"We are pleased to tell you we did not make any changes to the tax reported on your return. We will be returning any original documents you sent..."

The rest of the letter went on to tell me that if they owed me a refund, that would be arriving shortly. I got all excited until I checked my records -- they'd already sent the refund. Oh well! :-)
