Well, there's a heck of a subject line. It's just a hodgepodge update.
1. Flu shots today. Painless going in, very achy now. Not my usual pattern.
2. If beef burgundy and pot roast had a child, they would taste like my dinner. Except mine's more dry and could use a little salt. (Next time a little more of all the seasoning stuff.) I was ravenous when I walked in the door, so there was no question of adding peppers or anything. I made some rice with the broth and started chowing down. Again the kitties displayed a comical level of interest.
3. My uncle's very likely not going to make it. He had a heart attack yesterday while driving; his vehicle was broadsided probably not long afterwards. He's not breathing on his own and as of this morning there's no normal brain activity. The family will probably decide to do the merciful thing some time in the next day or so. My heart goes out to his sons and daughters. Me, I wasn't all that close to him, but they've always been an incredibly tight-knit family. Most still live within blocks of each other. And they're the ones who'll have to make that heartrending decision.

That's good, you're welcome, you're welcome
