It's kind of hard to clean a crock pot when you have no hot water. (Well, no hot water feeding the dishwasher or the kitchen sink. The upstairs bathroom has some. I have never been more glad that we have two completely separate water systems here.)

But I got it done.

I sniffed at the brisket, and y'know, I think I'm not a huge fan of corned beef either. Or else my brain isn't too sure how it would work with bbq sauce. (Darn that Safeway employee who pointed out this hunk o' meat. I was all set to go home without any.) I'll try it and see how it goes. Later.

I might have time to make rosemary chicken this afternoon.

Sadly, I'm afraid even to try it. I don't know it's done, it has quite a lot of fat in it, and I already know it probably won't taste very good.

*sigh* I should stick to programming! (And baking. Baking is easy.)

Hey - it MIGHT be yummy ... it's covered in good-smelling BBQ, in any case!

On the other hand, that's what pets are really great for - eating mistakes! Chickens are really helpful there, because they'll eat all the non-meat stuff much more willingly than the cats will! PLUS, that way, I turn my mistakes into eggs!

Mmm... programming and baking! Fabulous combination!

You're right, it's covered in barbecue sauce that smelled awfully good when I started! Maybe I could pull bits of not-fatty meat out, spoon some sauce over it, and make a sandwich. Then at least I would have eaten some of it.

You're absolutely right about the pets. I bet the cats would eat this as fast as I let them. As it is they whine every time I go into the kitchen.

I love that bit about "turning mistakes into eggs"! Eggs are then useful for... BAKING! YAY BAKING!
