Am I the only one whose senses of smell and taste get way more acute when fighting past a cold? Seriously, I can taste the salt in Calistoga fizzy water, my shampoo is unbearably strong, and yesterday I had to remove a slice of summer sausage from my room because the smoky smell was getting to me. I don't know how unusual these things are, but I know they're unusual for me. And let's not discuss what fever does to the odor of one's body. Dear Lord.

I could also smell catnip through a bubble envelope. I'll let [livejournal.com profile] jackiecat tell that story. Moria, thank you, that was awesome! She's STILL playing with it.

In other news, the fever's lower but not gone, my energy is coming back but is nowhere near good, I still want my tonsils out purely because they hurt, and I still cough the most between the hours of midnight and 4am. I ran a little commando raid on my office to get some more stuff so I could keep working from home, heh heh heh. No one even saw me, which is good for their future health. I have all the Sucrets and Cepacol a girl could possibly want, and Rob's going to the grocery store so I'll soon have chicken soup again as well. Things could be worse.

Oh my! I don't think any of mine particularly love Bounce, and I don't know that we have any Flexall 454 in the house, but Jackie sure does like my chamomile tea bags. Or my fingers after I've touched one. :-)

Awww, I love kitten rescue stories. I'm glad Star had you.

Thanks!
