PETE FIXED THE FCNTL PROBLEM!

Hosanna! I can hear the angel choir!

MAN this takes a weight off my shoulders. There is now a possibility of forward progress on something I've had on my plate for weeks. It's not a certainty, but it's possible. That feels awfully darn good. I do so hate making no progress on things.
