What I really want to know is: Is anyone actually so stupid as to lie about something like mortgage interest, which is so well-documented and so very, very easy to look up?
I wonder! O'course I've been claiming it since tax year 1999, with no 1098 anywhere in the world with my social on it, and this is the first time they've asked. I wonder how long one could get away with making something like that up.
Hiya CJ... Just to let you know... I did a little search to find out who on here went to the same High School as me... and you came up as the most intertesting one... so I hope you don't mind I added you to my small yet growing friends list... You were a year or two behind me at NHS... and I'm fairly sure I never met you in real life.... but I perused your website and profile, and added you.
Hi, nice to meet you! I don't remember meeting you in person (but then I was pretty shy in high school). I just peeked at your user info -- wow, you went from NHS to Scotland? That's intriguing! What brought you there?
Yeah, I've been in Scotland 6 years, as I'm married to a Scottish lassie (my 2nd wife) and I was more mobile than her as she has a daughter who was in high school at the time, etc, etc... I quit my job in Andover and moved over here after we got engaged. It's great... I love it here... sort of like a permanent vacation. I got a job in Glasgow at a shipyard as a process engineer... and have been there ever since.
I was pretty low-profile in High School as well... but was active in some things (track, band...). I went to Coolidge Jr High and Lincoln Elementary School... We probably never crossed paths at all, but just thought I'd search out someone from the old school and perhaps we'd have something in common... My last name is Antrobus... which is an uncommon name, so if that doesn't ring any bells then we probably don't know each other at all... Not that important, really.
Wow, that adds an intriguing dimension to life -- moving overseas to be with a lovely lady!
I was in chorus and the school musicals, so even though we didn't cross paths we do have music in common. :) I've moved a bit less far than you have; I'm in California. (Lived in France for a while, but moved back.)
Yup, Linda and I fell in love and I became a Scotsman... Left the Massachusetts rat race behind to a more rural lifestyle. Linda lives out in the country and loves animals, as I do... we have a horse, dog, 3 cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc... Unfortunately, as I'm an engineer, I couldn't find suitable work out in the country, so I work in Glasgow during the week, and go back to the country on weekends...
You mentioned musicals at NHS... I wasn't involved, but I remember they did Oklahoma when I was a senior... perhaps you were in it as I think you were two years behind me.
California must be nice... I used to have a grandmother there near Palm Springs... So I've been out to California a few times...
