Oh, I see. I thought it was just some sort of "I'm curious what you'd wish for" poll or something. :) Well, I will definitely let you know if my wish comes true. :)
I never heard of 11:11 and wishes... What is that about?
I used to know a rather, um, well, bizarre isn't really adequate but it's the best I can do, guy named Boomslang Meade (http://www.citylinkmagazine.com/cover/coverstory011602.html). (The name on his birth certificate is Vincent, but he changed it legally, or says he did.) Boomslang is insane, but he's one of the most creative people I ever knew.
Anyway, in the 1980s Boomslang and I were both attending a UU church camp called SUUSI (http://suusi.org/) (Southeast UU Summer Institute). He had written a bizarre show called "Priestley Discomfort Image Presentation," (don't ask) (well, of course you can ask, but you'll probably be sorry), and he always insisted on having the show on Thursday night of SUUSI week starting at exactly 11:11 pm. I never knew where he got the 11:11 bit. I always assumed he came up with it on his own, since he also used to do things like number a series of steps in ways like A, C, 6, 17, blue. But I never knew there was any other connection for 11:11 other than Boomslang and Priestley!
Looks like ohhjuliet wasn't reading, so I'll do my best to explain. 11:11 is a "magical" time because all the numbers showing on a digital clock are the same. (I don't know whether this property extends to 22:22 in military time.) If you see a clock showing this time, it's a good moment to make a wish.
Making a post in LJ at 11:11 is sort of cheating, but she made a wish last time she saw one of mine like that, so maybe there's still some goodness hanging around. :-)
Bzzzt. I'm used to getting bronchitis that lasts a month about once every couple of years or so. I'm just annoyed at this particular lingering bout because we delayed going to the doctor because of an interruption in medical insurance. I was actually thinking JOB. :-)

Boomslang sounds like an interesting character.
