[livejournal.com profile] daltong and [livejournal.com profile] mactavish, and anyone else who's ever wanted to be able to cook while seated, this is for you. :)

A while back I mentioned that someone I met at PT had a chair she loved to use while cooking.

It's a "WS23 Office Master Workstool", and when she got hers it was $138 plus sales tax and shipping. At its tallest the seat is approximately 32" from the floor. She got it from

This page shows the WS23 along with several other "workstools". I get the feeling you order from a vendor, though, not directly from Office Master.

Have you ever seen this one (http://secureic.getontech.com/cgi-bin/simple-abilities/04-20H014Ac.html)? It supports 90% of your weight and is designed for working in the kitchen. I've never tried it, but I've seen it in catalogs before. It looks to me like it would be a lot easier to scoot around the work triangle on this than on those office chairs.

Thanks for the info! It doesn't go as high as the other, but maybe that's not a big issue.
