Stolen from the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] lkeele:

Tell me three things I ought to do before I die.

Then, if you care to, post this in your LJ and ask your friends to do the same.
Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 09:36 pm (UTC)
1) Go contra dancing with me.

2) Take me up with you on an aerobatic flight.

3) Hike Half Dome and/or Grand Canyon rim-to-rim with me. ;-)

On a more general note, let's see...

1) See the Great Wall of China in person.

2) Visit Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia.

3) Go rappelling.
Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 09:46 pm (UTC)
Those all sound very good, although some will have to wait for the feet!

My favorite rappel. C'mon over and try it with me!
Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 09:58 pm (UTC)
Ooooooooh! That cave looks like a sweeeeeet rappel. As long as it doesn't require using ascenders to get back out - I find I'm a complete wimp trying to go back up the rope that way. :-)

And yes, the feet must be able. Tell you what: you can use my feet if I can occassionally borrow your lungs. ;-)
Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 10:15 pm (UTC)
I hear ya. The only thing worse than ascenders is Prusik knots! YEOW! This cave has a stairway.

That sounds like a good trade! My lungs work fine.
Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 10:23 pm (UTC)
Prusik knots! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! *runs away*

My lungs work fine.

This is just begging for a smart-assed comment. Mine are fine most of the time, but whenever I feel like I do now, with this lingering bronchitis, I always have trouble remembering what clear ones feel like to use.
Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 10:34 pm (UTC)
Yeah. I have vague memories of what running feels like, too. :-/
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 12:29 am (UTC)
My lungs work fine.

Yeah, I've noticed that by watching your chest!

*scampers off*

Call square dancing in Antartica or some very remote place!

Own your own plane!

Visit more LJ friends!
Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 09:48 pm (UTC)
Oh wow, those are great! Square dancing in Antarctica? My creative wheels are turning now.

I'm still stunned that I managed to visit [livejournal.com profile] lkeele. New Jersey, huh, ya'd think I could make it back there before I die!
Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 10:02 pm (UTC)
But would you do naked square dancing in Antarctica? *gd&r* ;-)
Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 10:14 pm (UTC)
Only if we had heat!
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 09:44 pm (UTC)
Dang. Someone beat me to it.

I say - Square dance naked in Antarctica WITH A DONKEY! :-p
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 10:06 pm (UTC)
Oh man, you guys! Now I keep thinking of that T-shirt that says "I am so far behind I'll never die!"
Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 09:45 pm (UTC)
1) Snorkel or scuba the Great Barrier Reef.

2) Perform on stage.

3) Write a piece of music or a poem or story.

Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 09:50 pm (UTC)
Good ideas! Ooo, the Great Barrier Reef. I never would have thought of it and it sounds amazing.

I'll keep on writing stories until they start being enjoyable to read. :-) Then I will share them!

See Mount Everest. (http://www.mit.edu/~jtidwell/nepal/kalapattar-2.html) It's not as difficult as many people think, but it does require strong feet...
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 04:31 am (UTC)
Oh wow. Wow, wow, wow... What a trip! That's amazing.
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 05:29 am (UTC)
The whole trip was a month-long travel cliche'. :-) But it was absolutely worth doing!
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 03:25 am (UTC)
1. visit me and the purrkids.

2. have an entire outfit head to toe custom made/tailored (including underthings).

3. Spend a day (week?) indulging in all the little things you never get around to doing for yourself or for others.

lots more, but those three haven't been hit yet.
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 04:42 am (UTC)
Nifty -- and creative! I would never have thought of either #2 or #3. (I'd enjoy visiting you and the kitties!)
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 06:48 am (UTC)
Hmm...

Take me on an airplane ride. ;)
Go deep sea diving.
Write a book about all your travel experiences?

Hard to think of things CJ hasn't already done.
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 05:17 pm (UTC)
There's lots I haven't done! I admit, though, that a fair amount of it doesn't immediately come to mind because it's stuff most everyone else HAS done (or will do). Y'know, like get novocaine for a filling, have a wedding, see Lord of the Rings, play a role-playing game, drink beer at a party...
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 09:42 pm (UTC)
Well, gosh, I don't know you well enough (nor am I exciting enough of imagination) to know three things you should do. :( But I am darn excited and inspired by the comments on your post. Wow.
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 10:07 pm (UTC)
My LJ friends are apparently VERY creative! These ideas could keep me busy for decades.
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 10:17 pm (UTC)
Apparently. I'm afraid to ask the question now. :)
