Maybe I'm going to go see The Mikado.

My parents are involved in this one, through their local Gilbert and Sullivan group. They're both thrilled to pieces about it and throwing themselves wholeheartedly into the prep. My dad is going certifiably nuts over practicing his blocking and suchlike.

The show will be performed in the suburbs of Boston, MA, and I'm in the suburbs of San Jose, California. I think I can get affordable plane tickets if I'm willing to change planes in the middle of a redeye flight. It'd wipe out the entire weekend, and leave me pretty fried on one day, but I could do it.

I'm strongly considering it. It would be an awesome surprise visit. And hey, it's only fair. They came to see all my shows.

What a great offer! You rock! I would probably stay with my sister, 'cause she's only a mile from my parents' place and would be willing to hide me if we decided to surprise them at the theater. But thank you!
