One of my favorites is the punctuate-this exercise: JOHN WHILE JANE HAD HAD HAD HAD HAD HAD HAD HAD HAD HAD HAD A BETTER EFFECT ON THE TEACHER
John, while Jane had had "had," had had "had had." "Had had" had had a better effect on the teacher.
