If I hadn't gotten this far before realizing what a bad idea it was, I might have dropped NaNo this year. Now that I'm 3/5 of the way through I feel like the remaining effort isn't so bad and finishing will be worth it. But I seriously thought about it, and your post in particular inspired me. Go you!
