Injections of Dooooooom, Part Four. This time we did only the right foot; the left is so inflamed and achey (probably trying to heal itself from the damage we're doing to it, poor thing) that it gets a week of rest. Two injections are a lot more bearable than four. I'm impressed by how much easier today was!

My doctor said next week he'll have a camera in there to take pictures of my face. I really do make hideous expressions. I wonder how red I get.

Yes, I had a similar experience when having a blister injected with magical skin-toughening goo, while in the Army. The doctor told me to grip my buddy's arm and holler if I wanted. I didn't yell, but I tensed up my face and closed my eyes real tight. My buddy later told me that's not at all what I had done. I thought I'd closed my eyes, but the reason I wasn't seeing anything was that my eyes rolled back so far they showed only whites. No camera then either -- bummer! ;-)

(I've never, ever, ever, had a blister there again. I want more of that goo!)

The injections are easier if I have only one foot done. I hope next week they really are less painful. It's about time I start losing some sensation here!
