I realized today that LJ doesn't have a predefined mood for "pain-free". I suppose for most people, the fact that there is a mood for "sore" pretty much covers it: most of the time they're not hurting, so they mention the times when they are. That really is backwards for chronic pain folks, though. We could make special note of those wonderful times when we AREN'T hurting. Ah, gentle reader, can you bring to mind how wonderful it is to NOT HURT? How it's like a vacation and a beautiful day and a song you like, all rolled into one? And there's no predefined mood for it.

(Not that "sore" is a mood, really. But if they're gonna have "exanimate" in there I fully support the inclusion of "sore".)

"Exanimate" is one of my favorites.

Maybe you should lobby via [livejournal.com profile] suggestions or otherwise for an inclusion of "pain-free". I thought of "painless", but that could have other implications, particularly among the alcohol-soaked. ;-)

We could put a "drunk" icon and call it "feeling no pain". :)

My favorite is "quixotic".

But if it were a mood, given that you can use it, "pain free" would top my list.

I'm glad you are experiencing "pain-free," whether it's a mood icon or not.

That would be great! I don't know when I'd ever use it ... but it there were one, maybe I'd use it on good days when the pain is low enough to pretend it's not there!

Good days are worth celebrating! :-) I'm sorry to hear that you don't have any truly pain-free time, though. That's a rotten deal.
