Rob and I are going to take the Warrior up today at lunch!
I should be ecstatic, but I'm terrified. Probably because a) I really ought to be doing a whole lot of other things during this time, like work and do Christmas shopping and find a new house insurance company, and b) I haven't flown in a LONG time and I am gonna be one sucky pilot.
We shall see.

Yeah, the basics will probably come back, sort of like riding a bicycle. Sharper skills need practice, but I guess I gotta start sometime!
(It'd be an OK aerobatics day, but this is SO NOT an aerobatics kinda plane. Some days it scares me that I know how to do stuff in the air that could permanently damage or destroy this aircraft.)

It'd be an OK aerobatics day . . .

I thought you'd never ask! ;-)
I was thinking that any day on which you were unsure you remembered how to fly a plane might not be a good aerobatics day. ;)
Ahhhhh, I see what you mean. I thought you meant weather-wise. (Actually I'm more confident with the acro than with finesse-y bits like landing.)
That's not all it could damage or destroy. But I trust you absolutely. (Staying over SC County, today? :) )
I'll probably stay over the airport! Watch the news for someone who made a crumpled ball of aluminum on the grass near the runway. :-)
