Saturday morning I couldn't sleep. Gave up and went to the 24h Walgreen's for white elephants to bring to the Interlocked Squares (square dance club) Christmas party that night.
Once Rob was up, we drove to Concord or Pleasanton or some place far away like that. Danced and called. Good to see some of those people! :-) At a local Burger King, changed into Christmas-party clothes. Barbara said I "clean up nice." Hmm.
The big white stuffed bear was a hit at the gift exchange! Yay! :-)
Sunday I mostly waited around to hook up with Chris to help him move. We got started so late that I was only able to help with one van-load; then it was time for Frank's Hannukah party. As it was, we missed the candle lighting :-(. I'm bummed that I didn't get to help Chris more. I made sure to keep the whole day free for it. What a waste. :-( :-( But he didn't seem too unhappy, which is good I suppose.
Played dreydl with several of the kids at Frank's, met a wonderful Dalmatian/Lab mix who was really well-behaved considering how he was surrounded by food, and played with some mechanical disentanglement puzzles (I recognized a kindred spirit in Frank's housemate Mark; he owns good hard puzzles).
Something I ate at the party didn't fully agree with me. My stomach kept hurting and feeling queasy. Went to bed early. Got ten hours of sleep! Hmm. Must have needed it.
That's my weekend. Aren't you fascinated? :-) I'm glad I'm "more interesting than my weblog"!
