Holidays 4: Baking

My mom is being very careful about what she eats. I'm not sure she'd say she's on a diet, but it's close enough as makes no never mind. My sister and her boyfriend are perennially careful. I don't think they've eaten dessert since 1998.

I was SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD and didn't bake ANYTHING. No cookies, no shortbread, no cakes, no... well, okay, two pumpkin pies, but that was IT.

Now I'm itching to bake for the holidays. It's only five days late, right? Christmas has twelve days, right? And I can bake on the plane to New England day after tomorrow, right? Er, well.

Well, in theory if you were in a small plane you could "bake" something under the hood using the heat of the engine.

I'm sure the FAA might have what-to to say about THAT though.. and well, you'd be better off cooking meat that way, not something that needs more precise cooking times.

Er, or are you leaving on a jet plane? ;)

A jet plane, sadly. Wonder if they'd let me use the galley if I promised cookies to everyone? :-)

They might... BUT since we all fly as a "suspected terrorist" they might assume that you'd be trying to poison the passengers, or some other deviant Al-Qeada (sp whatever) terrorist plot.

"Oh, burning hot poisoned chocolate-chip cookies threatened to be thrown at passengers as a hijacking attempt... it could happen!" *scribblescribble*

Cookies though... I assume that your cookies are good, hmmm? Pumpkin pie!? Waaa! I love pumpkin pie!!! :)

Gotta get me some before it falls "out of season" again!
;)

Well, *I* like my cookies. I try to make them yummy for other people, too, because that's how they go away. I foist them off on square dancers and such. :-)

Pumpkin pie is so eeeeeasy... you could have it out of season if you're willing to bake it yourself. MUST have REAL whipped cream though, home made with just a little too much vanilla in it! Mmmmm, I think it's time for lunch!

Um, the less money you have, the less you can afford to eat? :-)

Or is it just a typo?

Did you leave out "Holidays 3"?

Sorry, just being a QA Engineer. %-}

P.S.: Many people don't like to look at vacation pix. You should try
BZ, or maybe [livejournal.com profile] arkibet (never mind that you've never met him).

I wrote 3, just forgot to post it until later; it's back here.

The pix are paper. Next time BZ and I are in the same room...?
