I'll probably be doing a lot more friends-only posting for a little while. I'm not completely sure why, myself. It just feels right for the moment, and I feel better about writing when I think of making things friends-only. I don't know how long this will last.
Mark, I apologize that this takes you out of the loop; if you want a journal code, so that you can have an LJ identity, I'll happily provide you one and 'friend' you.
Anyone who wants to be added to my friends list, just ask. I haven't usually been very picky. CJ's journal is a block party! :-)

Friendification?
Ooh, I love block parties[*]!
Having made your reacquaintance, however briefly, at FSF, I'd like to
read for a while.

P.S.: * -- We had a couple of elaborate such affairs on our old
(otherwise lower-middle-class) block in Brooklyn -- where they rented
some portable rides, and *everything*! ::fond nostalgia::

I love block parties too! Our block doesn't do them very well, which is a disappointment, but they're still kind of fun.
Anyhoo, you're friended.

FSF in a row -- don't cry for me, Argentina). Actually, she came to
your fondue dinner from my house on Saturday, too.

P.S.: Thanks for the Friending. Sorry to have taken so long to get
back to you; it's been a week. %-P
