Yesterday: 3.5 miles, no accurate timing.
Today: 4 miles, 43:55. YES! Particularly good day - 11min/mi is faster than I can usually sustain for that long.

One month until Bay to Breakers. Do I dare hope I can do the whole thing in 12min/mi or better? 1hr 20min overall? Except the first few blocks, of course, where I expect to just waddle along as the mass of people slowly gets moving. Oh, and then there's the Hayes Street hill, too. Well, okay, maybe not...

Go CJ, go!
Go CJ, go!
Go CJ, go!

I know a gal who lives by the Bay,
She can run and run all day.

Before I start getting all self-congratulatory: now HERE is a runner.

Wow. What an amazing woman. (and a babe too!)

Wow! That is one seriously powerful lady. Definitely a role model.

Very slick legs. Probably a lot of bounce in them. Kangaroo style. Regular legs have that too, my martial arts grandteacher Peter Ralston is all about "effortless power" and he runs that way when he runs. Very little effort.

The Hayes street hill, huh? That's not so tough.

I was wondering how to compare the amount of bounce in her lower legs versus the amount of bounce in the foot/ankle/shin of a natural leg. Hers seem pretty nifty, anyway.

The Hayes street hill, huh? That's not so tough.

Good. I haven't done it before; I'm going by other people's reports. I'd be glad to find out it's wimpy. :-)
