When I had surgery, my IV line was taped to my forearm.

Today I sat in the sun eating lunch.

Now I have a beautifully clear image of one strip of medical tape, done in mild sunburn. That rectangular area probably lost a little of its outer layer of skin and was thus just a little less protected from the sun today.

I got Rob to take a picture of it yesterday. It's gone now. Ah, ephemera... I have a long way to go to be a good Buddhist. :-)
