Ideas of things to try. Brainstorm "grow mode". Feel free to share your ideas, too -- I'll crib from anywhere, and gratefully, too! 8-)

Work with beads - seed beads? make a small necklace? earrings?
Small quilt projects
Make a flower-press and use it
Bake bread
Decorate eggs
Make decadent chocolate truffles
Decorate a T-shirt
Check out The Artists Way

Take a vow of silence for a day
Use no electricity for a day (yes, no phones, no thermostats...)
Read/write no printed matter for a day (no computers, no books, no labels on food, no trail maps, no numbers on phones or clocks or money)

More serious:
Hike? backpack? the Grand Canyon
Hike Sea-to-Skyline
Run Bay-to-Breakers
Meditate (this is an assignment, actually)
Volunteer at animal shelter
Volunteer at library

I'm proud to be able to state, contrary to popular opinion, that we do have seasons here, although we get just two of them. The dry one is warmer. Definitely warmer. Honest, I'm not making this up. :-)

How about learning English Country Dance? You might like it.

Also, if you're going to read War and Peace I can recommend a few other titles you might like too.

(Also, is your e-mail account working? I ask because I sent a note a few days ago.)

Could do. Consider it added to the list!

Which other titles? War and Peace is at least in part an endurance challenge. :-)

Yes, e-mail is working, it's the CJ that's slow...
