You folks have great stories! There's a nice sense of camaraderie in knowing those of us who have goofed up in the kitchen are not alone.

No baking for me today, though I had considered it. Way too much other stuff to do. I did get a shirt mended and some mail done and the area around the litterbox cleaned. (Why DO they keep going over the edge? GRRR!) My Shirt From 2004 now has both sleeves hemmed and one attached, even though I am half convinced that it won't fit me any more when it is done, and I also cut up a bunch of muslin to make shelf-curtains for the dustiest room in the house.

Maybe baking tomorrow. It'd be a treat for getting that shirt done finally.

I figured I ate way too much way too fast or something. Sadly, I no longer think that was it. Today I made some rice and put a bit of leftover Thai peanut sauce on it. Shortly afterward, I [euphemism here].

This time it was definitely the peanut sauce. I am going to be bummed if this keeps happening every time I try to eat peanut sauce! I LIKE peanut sauce! That's the whole point of satay, isn't it? Carrying that scrumptious sauce into the mouth? ([livejournal.com profile] palecur, I can't hear you la la la la.)

Maybe it's just the way that particular place makes it. I can hope.
