Not a good time for the furnace to be on the fritz. (again.)

Rob is making a stellar effort at narrowing down the problem. Working hypothesis at the moment is "flaky connector". It's obviously a flaky connecTION, but he thinks he's got it narrowed down to one multiwire plug going into the controller. Maybe. (Connectivity tests are so far not showing any of the wires on that plug being flaky, and obviously that's a bit contrary to this hypothesis. Stay tuned....)

Glad we added a bunch of insulation a coupla years ago. Glad we have a space heater in the bedroom. I think I'll get my chilly self into that room now, in fact.

Well darn, visibility 3 in mist at PAO, visibility 2 in mist at LVK, getting better in the afternoon when the weak front comes through and maybe brings a touch of rain.

I could have shifted my schedule to the afternoon, but I'm busy then. Or to tomorrow morning, but the aircraft are all booked then (and the weather may be just the same in the morning). Or to tomorrow afternoon, but I'm busy then.

Maybe I'll just finish off that aircraft checkout in the new year! :-)

(ooo. This means I suddenly have some free time. I could do:
- those condolence cards
- the rest of the aircraft checkout paperwork
- holiday cookies
- shopping for a gift I thought I wouldn't have time to get
- hang those icicle lights on the house never mind that one, it's a-raining
- help Rob with the furnace debugging
First, BREAKFAST.)

Rob fixed the furnace.

I like to think that my suggestions about isolating the individual problems and about the possibility the board itself could contain the flaky connection were useful. Either way, I'm very VERY glad we have working heat again. (For now.)
