Four today, as before -- no letting one foot off easy like last week.

Doc says yes, the inflammation is because we're squirting stuff in there that's designed to do damage. The nerve is the most sensitive to it, so it'll die, and everything else just goes nuts for a while healing itself back up. He says it's a full month past the last injection before the doctor and patient can evaluate how effective this treatment is. (Since pain is the only useful factor in that evaluation, the translation here is: My feet are expected to hurt until approximately the New Year.)

Cool fact of the day: My skin is responding to the sclerosing (hardening) agent. It's getting a lot tougher to get the needle in. This effect is expected to go away with time. I also do not bleed afterwards like I used to. Weeeird. I have zombie feet.

He didn't take pictures of my facial expressions as he had threatened to do last week. Since as of today the injections are perceptibly less painful, I told him he better take photos next week or he'll lose his chance.
