My tropism for bookstores is expensive. This time I spoke sternly to my wallet, and came home with only three books: one pocket-size thingy teaching the Arabic writing system, one weighty tome containing cookie recipes, and one on marathon prep for first-timers. (I had hoped to find a running book with information about joint problems, but saw nothing appropriate in any index I scanned. A book taking a beginner through a marathon might cover good knee care. Of course, it may just put the bug up my *ss about actually running a marathon! What would my knees look like then?)

No massage cancellation yet, although I've heard from her workplace that she was not feeling well and didn't go either to the final exam she had today or to work. I hope she's okay. I hope she doesn't push herself to do this massage, and then get worse because of not resting.

Minesweeper

I like playing Minesweeper without flags. I jump when a big area auto-clears. I enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes when I make the last click and all the mine-flags show up at once.
