Holiday plans

Nothing's final yet, but the tentative plan for the next month and a half looks something like this.

Today: finish writing some C4 to call day after tomorrow
Thanksgiving: drive to Oxnard
Thanksgiving weekend: call a little, square dance a lot

A week before Christmas: fly to Louisville
Shortly after that: drive to Cleveland, to do my duty by the family (see my grandma who isn't expected to last long into 2003)
Christmas: in Louisville with Rob's family
December 27: fly to New Hampshire
That weekend: square dance a lot
Monday: drive to Boston (actually Natick)
New Year's: in Natick with my family
First weekend in 2003: drive back to New Hampshire to fly back to California

What a saga. At least I get to square dance a lot. Twice. :-)

I am thankful for

My sight, currently showing me the beautiful contrast between the blue sky and the dark green of the tall pine behind my house.

The love of my jackiecat.

The square dance community.

My body's ability to heal itself when injured.

Kittens... just the fact they exist.

The taste of pumpkin pie.

The savings I have, allowing me to relax a little bit in my newfound unemployment.

The learning I have done so far; I think I'm happier because of it.

Orgasms.

My magical wonderful hiking boots. (They fit! They keep water out! They fit!)

The fact that today I can come off painkillers, as I have successfully done perhaps two hundred and seventy-six times before.

Sunlight.

Friends.
