This is a short hello for Lesa in case she's checkin' me out. ;-)
April 11th, 2002
The hot tub is in. It was sixty-four degrees and rising this morning when I went out to look while brushing my teeth. We plan to run it at 104. Mmmmmm.
I am some weird kind of insomniac lately. I wake up at six, or four, or three-thirty in the morning, and can't get back to sleep. Rather than wake Rob up with my tossing and turning, I go to the guest bedroom (we have one now!) and fail to sleep up there. The cats love this opportunity to sleep on me. Then I fall back asleep just when I should be getting up to go to work. Today I came in an hour late.
Yet another person I just met (a gal named Laura, met her Tuesday) thinks I am cool because I do aerobatics. Methinks I had better get back in the air pretty soon now, before I'm just false-advertising my coolth. Wonder how much a Decathlon would cost used. My goals are much more modest since the stock crash!
I can't wait to go away for the weekend. Rob has guessed the location (I let him guess because I wanted him to have ample time for the flight planning etc), so I can say it here. We're going to Sedona. Mmm, pretty rocks, lovely canyons nearby to hike, and a nifty little untowered airport that's not only on top of a mesa (watch those downdrafts on short final!) but slanted so the predominant pattern is to land uphill and take off downhill (look out for planes coming atcha! no tower). I love that airport. I have never been to the town.
We close on the house next Wednesday. That'll be a relief, to have it over and done with.
I'm still in a very good mood.
My left ear itches.
End of report.
