I scored 20% on the Lust Test, leaving two questions blank.

That means there's noticeable room for improvement. :)

I went crazy this weekend! I got myself a whole lot of small things I'd been needing.
  • I now have a pretty wooden dowel rod on which to hang a small quilt. Been wanting that for a couple years; an unbent coat hanger just wasn't working out.
  • I have a screw that will be close enough to the one that's missing from my office chair. Now the back of the chair will HOLD STILL.
  • I have a little stick of bamboo to replace the one that died over Christmas break. I had originally had three small sticks in a teeny little pot with rocks, and without water for two weeks, the smallest one didn't make it. So the new one is potted in with the others now.
  • I have buttons that match my raincoat. When one button split down the middle many moons ago, the best replacement the tailor could do for me was enormous WHITE buttons, and suddenly the coat was too ugly to wear! Now I have nice light-greenish-blue ones that match.
  • I have a nice wide pot for planting catnip. Yay!
  • I have new planter-boxes to put flowers all over our side fence. (Actual flowers will come later.)
  • I have a foot-operated pump with a pressure guage built in (cool!).
Now I really really really need a new spare tire (used up the last good one this morning) and new jeans (I'm down to one pair without holes). Does it ever STOP? Will I ever be caught up?

Rob and I are getting a HOT TUB!

Technically, we already have one: the pool that came with the house has a built-in hot tub attached to it. But for various reasons that one is really annoying to use. Its plumbing is buried, meaning we can't get at the obstruction in one of the lines; it needs resurfacing; it has chlorine/bromine in it, so I itch like mad afterwards; and it can't stay heated all the time, so using the hot tub means 2-3 hours' advance planning. That last means we just don't use it much. Plus it has space for MAYBE five people, and that only if they're all standing close enough to have sexual intercourse with each other.

The new one will be heated all the time, has an ionization system that gets rid of the need for chlorine, and looks like it will hold about eight people if they don't mind playing footsie a little. It has lots of little jets to poke at shoulders, backs, and even wrists (for carpal tunnel sufferers). It will arrive in two to three weeks. I can't wait!

Now we just need 220V out to the deck. Luckily the breaker box is nearby.

Rob is thinking of building a gazebo for it... 8-)

I know the person who made this!
