I'm a paid user now! This after one browser crash and one bluescreen, both during the PayPal process. At least I won't have to do it again for a while.

Three more days until I go to Vancouver Island, BC for a family vacation. Or is it two more days? I don't know, because I haven't yet figured out when I want to arrive. Some time Saturday, I guess. OK, three days.
During that time, I have to:
- figure out exactly when we're going
- get my passport and CANPASS paperwork together (I've never flown into another country in a small aircraft before -- this should be educational)
- figure out how we're getting to the condo from the airport (bum a ride from someone in the family? rent a car? taxi?)
- figure out how in heaven I'm getting back home and buy a ticket for that (commercial flight, certainly, but from where? I'll save 75% of the cost if I can find a way to get to Seattle first)
- ideally, buy tickets for my square dance gig in San Diego, since by the time I get back it'll be less than a week away
- do the paperwork for adjusting my ESPP contribution, which I should have done ages ago; I could really use the money right now
At least I already did my bills, put away my photo-organizing stuff, did laundry, and my period will be done soon too. (Not that I had a choice about that, but it's nice to have it out of the way.) And I can borrow a laptop to bring on vacation, so I can do some of the prep for San Diego while I'm up there.
This is going to be an expensive month. :-/ Busy, too.
Oooo! I get to use the "rushed" icon! I love that one. :-)
Booked a ride back! THAT feels good.
Just barely talked myself out of crossing the border in a helicopter. One flight combo, offered by Yahoo! Travel, departed Vancouver Harbour (YWH?) in a helijet. The helijet went as far as Boeing Field in Seattle, and the connecting flight was some normal looking thing out of Sea-Tac. The price was competitive. There were only a few problems: It did NOT depart YYJ (Victoria Int'l, the airport I'd asked for); it departed YWH, thirty minutes' drive to the south. It did NOT make a connection within one airport; it dumped me at Boeing hoping I'd know how to crawl, skip, hop, walk, or hitchhike over to Sea-Tac. And it departed at 9AM.
Oh well. So much for the helicopter. :-)
We probably CAN walk, crawl, etc from YYJ to the condo. It's less than two miles from airport center.
Phew!
Now I only need to collect paperwork and buy my San Diego tickets.
