Some days

Some days, life just seems pointless.

I think on days like that I should make sure to pet several cats.

(grumble) yes, verily. Unless one doesn't own any cats, and then one is left staring out the window and wondering "why bother?"

Some people share; maybe you could pet a friend's cat. :-)

IIRC you have children, yes? Some parents seem to derive much happiness from their kid's smile... of course, saying "dad needs you to smile now" doesn't always work. Sigh.

Peninsula Humane Society and your local animal shelter always need more volunteers to pet cats.

Warning, it's addictive.
