The square dance went well! Woohoo! Even my singing wasn't too horrid. The dancers looked like they were having a good time.

The whole thing had a Harry Potter theme, so I opened with the words "nitwit, oddment, tweak" to much laughter. All dancers were sorted into the four houses at the door (we had a sorting hat) and at the end I had them cheer for which house did the best. I was glad I remembered the books so I could do a lot of that sort of banter. It really livens up the place.

As it happened I called four levels: Plus and A2 alternating, with a class-level tip thrown into the middle (that one was fun - can't even use waves! strained my ability) and a C1 tip at the very end. I felt good that people could change the program (in this case, adding the C1) and with no preparation or warning I could just say "sure".

Phew! Glad it's done.

Now I have all day Sunday to hide all the evidence of the orgy I had at the house while Rob was gone goof off.

Congrtatulations! I don't think I realized it was a Harry Potter theme. Very timely.

I just started reading the second book. I want to read it before seeing the movie, which just came out Friday, and my kids won't wait very long :-)

I think they'll give me a couple of days.

If they'll give you a couple of days, they're pretty patient kids! :-)

I read all four books a while ago, and maybe I'll re-read number two before going to see the movie. (Yeah, this is a movie I may actually see.)

Sure, I'd love to! Thank you! I'll consider it 'confirmed' after you've had a chance to check with Kathy and the kids.
