I just ate a small handful of Necco wafers. I can remember eating those when I was a child. I can also remember living just up the street from the Necco factory when I went to college.

My husband thinks they are (I am) weird. But I love those goofy things.

They're probably weird to someone who didn't grow up with them. They're not a very standard kind of candy. Still, I like them, and I like the memories!

Random House, right? :-)

And I remember those wafers... the dark licorice ones are my favorites.

Well, er, um... my mail didn't go to Random House, but since that's where Rob lived... :-) (I was French House and, for a short time, Third East.)

I like the lemon ones. Mmmmmm!

my mom LOVED Neccos. she told me how she used to be able to make a roll last an entire weekend, eating them one at a time, savoring every last drop of flavor, while her older sister gobbled hers up quickly.

I was introduced to them by mom during a train ride through the Indiana countryside the summer before mom got sick. Someone (dad?) got her a Necco tin full of neccos for her last xmas. she didn't have time to eat them all, as we discovered when we put the tin out in the yard sale. We announced that the remaining Neccos came with the tin at no extra charge, to the amusement of our yard-sale shoppers.
