Green thumb

A couple weeks ago I pruned back my office plant rather heavily. It's a golden pothos -- it'll take over the whole place unless I prune it! Glen, across the hall, mentioned that he wanted a plant like this, so I put all the cuttings in water.

They've had nice healthy-looking roots now for a few days! This is so cool! So I put them all in his flowerpot today. And I took some new cuttings for Dianna, who mentioned that she wanted a plant like this. :-)

I hear golden pothos is very easy to keep alive and to reproduce from cuttings. So no wonder it's working out. I'm enjoying the illusion that I have a green thumb!

Golden Pothos are great that way, aren't they? I remember back in the mid-80s having one at my first job, and coming back after a month (after having a coworker promise to water it) and finding out that it hadn't been watered the entire time. Oh, it lost some of the length of its vines, but a little pruning, a little water, and it looked great!

Definitely! I know a guy who procrastinates so much that he tends to pay bills semi-annually, and HE can keep a golden pothos alive. He's had that plant for probably six years and I bet it's been watered ten times. It lived an entire summer forgotten on the floor of a car.

I like unkillable plants! :-)
