Five Facts About Me ...
1. I have strong feelings.
2. I am good at logical things and at learning languages.
3. I adore my kitties!
4. I am not very concerned with fashion or with popular culture.
5. I am a loyal friend.

5 Things I'd Like To Do Before I Die ...
1. Go to the moon.
2. Fly more aerobatics (ideally, own a Pitts or an Extra).
3. Learn another language, and spend some time speaking it with natives.
4. See Ireland and see Macchu Picchu.
5. See the midnight sun, or the green flash.

Five Foods I can't live without.. (I'll add drinks)
1. Spaghetti-Os with franks. Quick to prepare, quick to eat!
2. Water. Bottled water, tap water, lemon Calistoga fizzy water, water water water.
3. Chocolate. I don't actually eat all that much of it, but I love it when I do and I'd miss it a lot if I could never have any again.
4. Something related to cheese, but no one specific item stands out.
5. Something spicy fiery hot, but no specific item stands out.

5 Actors/Actresses I Love..
This question is pretty meaningless for me.

Five Things to do in your town (I'll say my area)
1. Hike, jog, ride horses, or fly model aircraft in Rancho San Antonio park.
2. Eat. We have some yummy restaurants around here.
3. Learn to fly.
4. Visit the USGS: map heaven!
5. In summer, watch an airshow or go to the Gilroy Garlic Festival. Just, if you chose Gilroy, don't hang around me until you've done a bit of detox, okay?

Five Movies You Could Watch Over And Over Again
This question is also pretty much unrelated to me.

Five Things Next to You Right Now
1. A bottle of water! Surprise!
2. Post-It notes
3. Kleenex box
4. Pretty shell, redwood box, and stones, all with lovely memories
5. Lots of assorted papers covered with notes

Name Your Fav Band/Artist That Starts w/ Each Letter:
I don't even feel guilty skipping this one, since it doesn't go with the "five" theme and was therefore probably added by someone along the way. :-)

YOUR NAME This category also looks tacked-on-later...
(1) The singular boring question: Carol Jean Smith. I go by CJ.
(2) If you had been born a member of the opposite sex, what would your name have been? I don't know what it would have been. Possibly Robert, after my uncle.
(3) Would you name a child of yours after you? Do women ever? Anyway, no; to me it is the height of arrogance.
(4) If you had to switch first names with a friend of yours, who would you switch with? I don't care much since I don't really use my first name. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a Diana, so maybe I'd switch with Dianna. Or, better yet, something like Robert would be good. If just one HR department screws up and assigns me a male salary, it'd be worth it.
(5) What's the way people most often mispronounce any part of your name? They don't. They also can't ever find me in their databases. Helloooo, last names are NOT UNIQUE, and this should not by this point be news to anyone.
(6) If you were to become famous, would you drop your last name (like Madonna, Cher, Roseanne)? Maybe. Or I'd drop my first name. Or I'd drop off the face of the earth -- I don't think I'd enjoy notoriety.

Oh no!
[patently false scared-face with big wide eyes]
Whatever shall I do?
[flutters eyelashes]
[hides imperfectly behind something]

Gosh, I sure hope she doesn't find me. She might do something... MEAN to me.
