Book of Whining, chapter the Second

My body is currently ignoring the hormonal override (the Pill) I have been giving it for the past eighteen years or so, and is bleeding and aching a week ahead of schedule. Neither the pain nor the flow are even close to normal levels, so I'm sure that this will continue through the weekend

MY HALF DOME HIKE WEEKEND

and on into next week, which is when all this SHOULD have been happening.

Someone gimme a scalpel, or better yet do the honors yourself 'cause I won't have a steady hand. I want this mutant alien thing OUTTA me. RIGHT NOW.

Sometimes it's hard to believe I've put up with this for more than twenty years already. It's also hard to believe I have on the order of ten more years to go. That's heinous, it really is. No one should be sentenced to this kind of life.

OK, end of whine. We now return you to your regularly scheduled cheerful-and-or-snarky CJ.

I know lots of people who take the pill to regulate periods. I can't possibly do that. You've considered it?

I think she did say she was on the pill, it just seemed not to be working this month in terms of regulation. It happens--mine sometimes go wonky even when on the pill :(
