Inspired by cassidyrose, here's a list of jobs I've held. I responded to her post, then replied to myself because I'd forgot a few, and now that I remember another one I've just got to make my own post so I can keep editing it!

• entrepreneur (I made potholders at age eight, and sold them door to door)
• babysitter
• cashier/busboy/gopher at fast-food pizza place
• telephone switchboard operator
• moving agent, international incoming
• telemarketer (I decided I'd rather starve, and I shore did get hungry)
• shipping clerk
• customer help hotline person
• security guard
• soldier
• software analyst
• software tester
• software engineer
• software manager
• technical consultant / translator
• teacher
• TA
• lab assistant
• systems administrator
• technical editor for a book
• photographer
• square dance caller

and if we count the unpaid positions, singer and dancer and costume maker/designer and I'm *sure* I'm a therapist.

why thank you! I was actually thinking of my unofficial social role of temporarily soothing the drama queen(s), but I'm glad to hear I've been somewhat useful! Scary that no one you've seen for the job is more competent than a random untrained sympathetic friend, though. Sigh. What a mess.

Well, the three folks I tried out *were* at the University Health Clinic. And, I later discovered, two of them were students. If they were being taught by the third, that *really* explains things! :-P
