Cool storm!

Last night we had a glorious thunderstorm with lots of good lightning and powerful, boomy, crackling thunder! Ooo I really like storms.

Yep, it was a damn fine storm here as well, windows rattling, no noticable delay between flash and boom, Chris and I had a great time listening to it. I do with CA had more T'storms...

I loved it. It was small joy to stand outside for a moment and feel the rain come down on my fever-hot skin. I've always loved the drama of down-drafts, when the wind turns the leaves upsidedown and the air has a touch of ozone in it. I kinda miss thunderstorms from back east, and it was a big surprise to have one here in September.

Yeah, wonderful booming thunderstorms with stinging wind-driven rain are something I really miss from back east, too.
