A tiny bit about the United States green card process. I am sad.

That Viagra can cause partial vision loss. I am a terrible human being to recognize that this does have a humorous aspect to it. ("You'll go blind.")

That Rwanda does have malaria, a lot of it. Ouch.

That this Saturday there is an open house not far from me where I could go try elementary archery, sword fighting, and knife and axe throwing.

That green card thing is maddening, indeed.

And yes, it is rather funny about the going blind thing.

I remember that when I was a child I thought of the inscription on the Statue of Liberty and I was proud of this place.

Yeah, we all were. We're coming up on the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, when we all were so proud. No one else has done it since.

Putting together a few disparate facts (eg my expected life span) I don’t expect ever to be proud of this place again, and that’s sad. A real loss.

Yeah, that has really been bothering me. Kavanaugh and Gorsuch, in particular, are about my age.
