Two of of the Americans brought Valentine's candy to work for the team today. The engineers from India were bemused by our quaint local customs -- particularly the inedible conversation hearts. But, of course, they were polite. And did enjoy the chocolate hearts.
I'm rather heartened that big business hasn't managed to infest India with the corporate version of Valentine's Day. ;-)
Happy Valentine's Day to you! I celebrate only reluctantly for vaguely superstitious reasons. I remember how much I hated it when I was lonely, and I remember the awesome Anti-Valentine's Day party that Mark threw to cheer another lonely friend up. Within a couple of months, all three of us were involved with someone. I am even still with that someone. But I still think of my favorite Valentine as my Mom.
