This is not my beautiful comforter

Got my down comforter dry-cleaned. Picked it up this morning. It looked a little flatter than I expected, but hey, they had to pack it into one of those bags.

Looked at the tags on it just now, about to make the bed. I don't think it's mine. I'm not absolutely certain, but I'd give it nine out of ten.

Now what?

I don't have the claim check any more. I have no idea whether anyone else has picked up my comforter. The place is closed tomorrow, and Monday I'm pretty much 100% booked, so whoever owns this comforter had better be a fairly lazy sot (ie not pick up until Tuesday) if I'm to get mine back.

I never know how to deal with this kind of thing.

You might want to see if there's a voice mail box at the cleaners and leave them a message.

Mmm, good idea. That way they'll know there's a problem before I can show up in person.

It won't help now, but for future reference - anytime you have something expensive that needs dry cleaning, sew a small piece of material in an un-obtrusive place on the item with your name in indelible ink. That way, if there is a problem, you know that yours is marked.
