Tick tick tick

Three more days until I go to Vancouver Island, BC for a family vacation. Or is it two more days? I don't know, because I haven't yet figured out when I want to arrive. Some time Saturday, I guess. OK, three days.

During that time, I have to:

  • figure out exactly when we're going
  • get my passport and CANPASS paperwork together (I've never flown into another country in a small aircraft before -- this should be educational)
  • figure out how we're getting to the condo from the airport (bum a ride from someone in the family? rent a car? taxi?)
  • figure out how in heaven I'm getting back home and buy a ticket for that (commercial flight, certainly, but from where? I'll save 75% of the cost if I can find a way to get to Seattle first)
  • ideally, buy tickets for my square dance gig in San Diego, since by the time I get back it'll be less than a week away
  • do the paperwork for adjusting my ESPP contribution, which I should have done ages ago; I could really use the money right now

At least I already did my bills, put away my photo-organizing stuff, did laundry, and my period will be done soon too. (Not that I had a choice about that, but it's nice to have it out of the way.) And I can borrow a laptop to bring on vacation, so I can do some of the prep for San Diego while I'm up there.

This is going to be an expensive month. :-/ Busy, too.

Oooo! I get to use the "rushed" icon! I love that one. :-)

Yeah, I remember mentioning this vacation to you six months ago or more, and talking about the possibility of stopping in Seattle to say hi. Oh well, the best laid plans and all that! :-)

I'm still anxiously awaiting your account of the move!
